Our team successfully demonstrated the feasibility of fabricating high-quality thin films of a new class of nonlinear optical (NLO) materials which we call as "nonlinear-nonlinear" optical composite films. Potential applications include all-optical signal processing devices and beam steering devices which can provide an enhanced nonlinear optical response over a significantly broader wavelength range than currently available. Our work demonstrates the feasibility of designing NLO materials which are "tuned" to a specific wavelength regime.
